No freedom of panorama in Italy.[1] FunkMonk (talk) 08:49, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
Why not leave it until it is challenged? Notafly (talk) 18:53, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
- Until what is challenged? Why not just wait until all copyvios are challenged then? FunkMonk (talk) 19:00, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
Until the use is challenged. I think the law in Italy was made to protect artists and creators and the present interpretation of FOP unintentional I do see your problem and may have seemed brusque (sorry about that - none of this is your fault) but this law is to my mind detrimental to Italy. Best regards Notafly (talk) 20:46, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
The subject was in a public park, without any apparent restriction to photos. As the Italian law permits to publish for free pictures of panorama (in wide sense) on websites for "teaching or scientific purpose", I think it should allowed to post in Wikipedia. Anyway I am not a lawyer, so may be I am wrong. Ciao.
- The problem is, only images that are free for any use are allowed on Commons. FunkMonk (talk) 13:52, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
FunkMonk Thankyou for your patience. Is it possible to use the image on Wikipedia (but not commons) with a more restricted license? If so how? Robert aka Notafly (talk) 11:46, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
- Well, fair use images are only allowed on Wikipedia if there are no free images available to illustrate the subject. We have plenty of free images of Spinosaurus. FunkMonk (talk) 14:16, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
